Overview of Program

The Protection Officer Certificate Program teaches and prepares students to obtain a Certified Protection Officer (CPO) certificate and employment as a security guard and/or a protection officer. Courses include information related to the following topics:

  • Report writing
  • Physical security
  • Emergency procedures
  • Workplace violence
  • Traffic control
  • Fire prevention
  • Use of force
  • Operational risk management
